Gereja Merah


Gereja Merah merupakan salah satu bentuk peninggalan sejarah di Kota Probolinggo. Dibangun pada Tahun 1826, Gereja Merah hanya mengalami sedikit perbaikan pada bagian dalam ruangan dan cat, mengingat konstruksi bangunan yang sepenuhnya terbuat dari baja. Secara umum, Gereja Merah masih dipergunakan sebagai tempat ibadah dan telah menjadi salah satu benda cagar budaya yang patut untuk dilindungi di Kota Probolinggo. Sebagai situs peningalan sejarah, Gereja Merah juga menjadi daya tarik wisata khususnya bagi wisatawan asing yang ingin memahami bagian sejarah panjang bangsa dan warisan nenek moyang. Didalamnya terdapat berbagai peralatan peribadatan serta Kitab Injil Kuno yang berumur ratusan tahun namun masih terjaga dengan baik. Lokasi Gereja Merah di Jl. Suroyo, Probolinggo.
