Banyu Muluk Cliff in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province

More attractive vacation spots become well-known these days in Tulungagung Regency. One of them is located in Popoh Village at Besuki Sub-District. The name is Banyu Muluk Cliff. Some locals call it Tebing Banyu Mulok, though. The location is right next to Coro Beach. That means tourists can enjoy two types of vacation spots during the same visit. They only need to conduct a short trekking from the beach and head to the hill, located in the left part of the shoreline. The pathway is comfy enough and this trekking may take around 20 minutes in order to reach the cliff.

The Nuance
Once arriving at the top of the cliff, tourists may see a vast savanna right away. The height of the grassy landscape is less than 1 meter! Not to mention the pathway is clear enough, so everyone can explore the site comfortably. The best thing is indeed the panorama. The cliff features stunning blue sea scenery and mountainous views on the horizon. Plus, the big waves hit the cliff and create beautiful big splashes. As the name suggests, “Banyu” means water while “Mulok” means splashing.

Exploring Banyu Muluk Cliff
Visiting Banyu Muluk Cliff can be done either before or after visiting Coro Beach. The first thing to enjoy is the trip itself. Tourists would enjoy the short trekking, as they are able to see beautiful panoramas along the way to the site. The grassy land welcomes them on the top of the cliff as well. Thus, some people often roll out a mat on that area and enjoy eating together with families. One thing, the heat of the sun becomes too uncomfortable sometimes. Tourists must come at the right time, therefore, especially in the morning or afternoon.

The best allure in Banyu Mulok Cliff is none other than the panorama. From that spot, tourists can see the vast blue sea and wonderful views of the mountains! The warm atmosphere makes sightseeing activity more comfortable to do, as well. Those who come early in the morning would be able to witness a beautiful sunrise! Also, the number of visitors is low at the time. On the other hand, lots of people would appear in the afternoon. Why is that?

The reason why the majority of people visit Banyu Muluk Cliff in the afternoon is to witness the waves splashing phenomenon. At the time, the waves are the greatest and cause the best impact to the cliff. The splash becomes bigger, therefore. For lucky tourists, they should be able to see stunning rainbows too! What is more? Later, at night, visitors are allowed to build a tent and spend the night on the site. The views of stars look astonishing in the sky!
