Coban Rondo


Selain Coban Pelangi, terdapat pula coban Rondo. Coban Rondo terletak 12 Km dari Kota Batu, tepatnya berada di desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Pujon. Air terjun di Coban Rondo memiliki ketinggian 60 M dan merupakan wahana air terjun yang paling mudah di tempuh.

Rondo, dalam bahasa Jawa bermakna Janda. Nama Coban Rondo diambil dari dongeng awal terbentuknya air terjun ini, dimana dikisahkan seorang wanita cantik bernama Dewi Anjarwati yang menjadi janda karena suaminya, Raden Baron Kusuma, tewas dalam pertarungan melawan Joko Lelono. Joko Lelono adalah pemuda yang tertarik pada kecantikan Dewi Anjarwati dan ingin merebutnya dari Raden Baron Kusuma. Dalam pertempuran, Raden Baron Kusuma tewas dan oleh panukawan atau prajurit, Dewi Anjarwari disembunyikan di goa. Sejak saat itu, coban ini terkenal dengan sebutan Coban Rondo.
