The new products provided good returns for the meagre working capital available at
the time. However, it was necessary for both Seeng Tee and Tjiang Nio to work late
into the night rolling the cigarettes by kerosene lantern in their small house under the
bridge. The blending and rolling process eventually occupied completely the first floor of
the bamboo-walled house. In fact, the tobacco and rolling equipment had to be pushed
to the sides of the room at night to provide space for the familyﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢s sleeping mats.

The production ability of the crafter is 100 gorsier / week / crafter. In Waru district Sidoarjo regency, there are 17 villages, 9 part of it is the centre of sandal and shoe industrial that is Wedoro, Kepuh Kiriman, Brebek, Wadung Asri, Tambak Rejo, Ngingas, Tropodo, and Janti.

SURABAYA - Keindahan budaya Nusantara menjadi agenda hari kedua Festival Cak Durasim (FCD) VII di Gedung Cak Durasim, Taman Budaya Jawa Timur (TBJT) tadi malam. Saat itu, ditampilkan lima duta seni dari Taman Budaya Maluku, Kaltim, Kalbar, Bali, dan Kalsel.
ﾃつﾃつﾃつﾃつﾃつﾃつﾃつ
Duta seni dari Bali menyiapkan tiga koreografi sekaligus. Yakni Tari Buratwangi, Galang Bulan dan Sang Hyang Legong. “Buratwangi adalah tari penyambutan. Karena itu kami tampilkan saat pembukaan FCD (Selasa malam, Red),” kata I Ketut Rena, koreografer dari Taman Budaya Bali. Sementara, dua tari lainnya dipertontonkan dalam Gelar Seni Taman Budaya Indonesia, tadi malam. “Untuk persiapan, kita butuh waktu dua bulan,” tambahnya.
Ketut –panggilan I Ketut Rena-mengatakan Galang Bulan adalah tari terang bulan atau bulan purnama. Saat itu, para remaja, terutama yang sedang jatuh cinta saling berkumpul dan bercengkrama sambil menikmati indahnya bulan purnama. “Suasana melankolis itulah yang membuat mereka rindu dan selalu menantikan bulan purnama berikutnya,” ujarnya.
Sementara Sang Hyang Legong merupakan upacara memohon keselamatan yang ditarikan oleh remaja yang menginjak dewasa. Mereka menari dengan suka cita hingga tanpa sadar kerasukan roh halus. Akhirnya, penari itu diusung keliling desa dengan tujuan mengusir wabah penyakit. “Kita bawakan dua tari berbeda, ritual dan kontemporer,” ucap staf Taman Budaya Bali ini.
Sementara, duta seni Kaltim membawakan Tari Papuliq Kutuk. Tari ini berkisah seorang gadis yang suka melukai burung. Gadis itu dikutuk penguasa alam menjadi burung juga. Kutukan tersebut bisa hilang ketika ada pengeran yang mencintai dan bisa melukai jasadnya. Kisah ini berakhir happy ending karena si gadis kembali dalam wujudnya semula dan menikah dengan sang pangeran. “Ini merupakan kisah dari Dayak Penyak Tunjung, Kaltim,” ucap Bakti Hartavip, sang koreografer. “Kisah ini bisa dijadikan panutan bagi remaja agar tak memperlakukan mahkluk hidup seenaknya sendiri,” lanjut pria 36 tahun ini.
Sementara itu pertemuan Taman Budaya se-Indonesia di Hotel Inna Simpang diikuti 20 kepala Taman Budaya. Pertemuan itu membahas berbagai isu pembinaan kesenian di masing-masing daerah, serta konsep pengembangan seni budaya masa depan. “Para kepala Taman Budaya se-Indonesia sepakat untuk tetap concern mempertahankan dan mengembangkan budaya di daerahnya masing-masing,” kata Pribadi Agus Santoso, ketua TBJT yang ditunjuk sebagai ketua forum Kepala Taman Budaya se-Indonesia ini.
Hari ini, pukul 10.00, digelar lomba kidungan di Pendapa TBJT. Acara yang dikoordinir Cak Sidik Wibisono ini bertujuan melestarikan seni kidungan yang merupakan ikon budaya kota ini. “Fokus utamanya sebenarnya remaja. Sebab, generasi inilah yang akan meneruskan pelestarian kidungan,” kata Ketua Panitia FCD VII Arif Rofiq.
Malam harinya di Gedung Cak Durasim tampil koreografi karya Ni Kadek Yulia (Solo), I Nyoman Sura (Bali), Abdul Rachim (Jakarta), dan Mawar Desember (Jakarta). I Nyoman Sura mengusung tarian Merah yang menggambarkan kesetiaan Sinta menuggu Rama. Sementara, Mawar menampilkan tari Himung yang berkisah tentang seorang wanita yang menderita karena tak bisa mengungkapkan rasa cinta yang bergejolak di hatinya. (ai)
