Magetan Regency Tourism

Sarangan Lake
Sarangan Lake, well known as parir lake located on Lawu mountside,17 kms west of Magetan downtown. It  has 17 kms wide and 28 meters depth, cool weather,impressive scenery. So, it very representative to escape from daily routinity.


Tirtosari waterfall
This waterfall lied about 2,5 kms north west from Sarangan Lake, accesed by horse or take a walk. Beautifull secenery, comfort weather, and the villagers mythos that whoever take a bath in this waterfall will be long life and teenage.

Waton Jamas Ndak Tuo
Its is one area that has five tourist attraction such Watu Ondo Waterfall, Jarakan Waterfall, Banyumas, Pundak Kiwo waterfall and Watu Ongko Sanctuary.
Those Waterfalls streamed on the same river. Banyumas is a small pool with goldy sand when got the sunshine, Watu Ongko is an historical sanctuary that still in good condition until now.
Believed those tourist attractions are sanctuaries of the Singosari Kingdom.

Wahyu Lake
Located about 5 kms from Sarangan Lake to the east. This is 10 has wide and 16 m dept lake still kept it’s naturally, and spread by fish. So,recommended to people who loved fishing.  

Kosala Tirta Swimming Pool
Located at Maospati district, eastside of Magetan. Swimming Pool and kindergarden available here, suitable as families refreshing resort.

With Convey many thanks to the almighty god,the regent of Magetan give congratulation for internet Publishing about Magetan regency’s tourist attraction 2006.

By the development of civilization and technology which bussiness rivalization harder, the demand of entertaiment, recreation and touristm get increase. It will open the chance for Magetan regency as touristm city to be more intensively catching tourist or foreign tourist.

Then, it is the right step for internet publishing to introduce Magetan regency as tourist destination city to domestic tourist or foreign tourist.
