PLENGKUNG BEACH

Plengkung Beach, which, as all seen surfers know, has the world's best left hand waves and, as a 'surf camp', is arguably number one on the globe.

 BROMO MOUNTAIN

The most popular and well known of East Java's tourist attractions is undoubtedly Mt. Bromo. The pre-dawn departure and trek across the mountain's famous 'sand sea', to watch the sunrise at the crater rim, has become something of a ritual, enacted daily by people of every nationality.

 

BATU & MALANG

Batu& Malang tourist resort and the vicinity, offering a breathtaking view and a breezy atmosphere, is said to be the hill resort where tourists can take a' rest to regain freshness and new spirit. Visiting Batu - the little Switzerland as named by foregners - is really enjoyable. It's now known as a cabbage and apple town. Close to Batu is Selecta with its swimming pool, breath taking views and colourful roses.

MADURA ISLAND

It's an island off the coast near Surabaya, known as the home of the exotic "Bull Races".The bulls are harnessed in pairs and raced across 120 metres coures in a special open - air stadium. This most unique spectacle is traditionally a great Madurese accasion.

 KAWAH IJEN (IJEN CRATER)

The far eastern end of Java is dominated by the volcanic cones of Ijen & Merapi. While Merapi is extinct, the active crater of Ijen contains a vast sulphureous lake, two hundred metres deep with a volume of around thirty six million cubic metres.
